What happens inside your house matters. Parents matter

I know we face many hardships in today's world but my wife and I control how we face these challenges. There are people much worse off than us and there are people much better off than us, but we decide our family's path.

Who is leading the country does not matter to me as much as where I am leading my child. If I remove or limit the distractions of life (tv, internet) and go read a book with my daughter I know it will help this country more than watching another set of political ads.

I will vote, I will be informed, and I will teach my child it is important, but at the end of the day whom ever wins may lead this country, but my wife and I will chose who leads our house!

We discipline our children on particular matters and expect, no, demand, consistent obedience. Meanwhile, we ourselves are lacks-a-daisy about the same issue. Multiple times in my sons early years I've stressed the importance of wearing seat belts. Before the car would row out, everyone was to have their seat belts on. After a while it became habit for him to get the seat belt on, but habit for me to leave it off. So with time, the tables turned.
