Daddy's home hugs are better than side hugs (Quitter conference)

Just got back this morning from a 2-day conference in Nashville, TN put on by http://www.jonacuff.com for people who want to make the jump from their day job to their dream job.

I had a great time and learned a lot, but best of all I got to meet some great people with a passion in life to follow their dreams! A lot of these people are parents, and so is Jon Acuff, so they understand that there is a balance to pursuing a dream and raising a family.

The thing that was a great take away for me was the fact that these parents are showing their children with their actions that you can dare to dream and follow that up with a plan and support. How can that not help these children in the future when someone tells them they can't be what they dream! They can say, "My mom/dad are!" So I would like say to all the people I met at the conference, keep working, planning, and dreaming, because the little eyes in your home are always watching and learning.

To Jon Acuff I would like to say, "Thank You" for all your time and information, and although the conference was great (learning, networking and the band( http://www.serynsound.com) the best was getting home this morning at 5:30 am and getting a "daddy's home" hug from my daughter!
